If there was ever a universal question amongst the many tribes of women who ride bicycles the common dilemma is always the dreaded helmet hair. Finally, thanks to the cool kids always on the pulse of what’s super hot (riding bikes, looking amazing) they’ve teamed up hairdresser Katie Nash, model Emily Mullé and photographer Anna-Alexia Basile for the ultimate girl power bicycle make over that anyone can do. Step 1: Before you don the helmet, work a little dry shampoo into your roots. It will soak up any excess oil (or sweat!) as you ride. It will also give you added volume and fight any flatness the helmet may cause.

Step 2: After massaging dry shampoo into scalp, spritz hair with wave-enhancing texturizer and work into the ends, separating and scrunching as you go.

Step 3: Gather hair on top of head and twist into a messy bun.
