Tonight’s the first installment of ‘maintenance and manicures,’ with the amazing Susan Lindell at the Time’s Up workshop right under the Williamsburg Bridge at 99 South 6th street starting at 6:30pm. If you’ve never been there before it’s worth it for the view alone. No other street at sunset can still evoke the gangs of old New York with quite the same visual intensity. Here’s a rather poor example:

But enough of the scenery! What you really want to do is see one of the most popular videos that has gotten intensely circulated on the internet staring Susan and produced by etsy, showing people how to do the most common bike maintenance.

Tonight however we’ll go straight to full-speed ahead & dive into “Brakes & Gears” which are the things that are most likely to get out of whack, seem completely confusing and either lead you to a bike shop or kill the momentum of getting out and riding. Don’t let it happen to you!

There’s something great about being in a group of D.I.Y. bike ladies: we’re in love with bicycles and happy to see you. Even happier to help you figure out how to make your bike work beautifully and carry you out into the wide world of adventures. After the workshop is over we’ll head over to East River Bar’s outdoor patio for some awesome manicures, drinks & good times. Hope to see you there!
