Found via my own track racing lovelies: Christine and Tadeusz

‘BOY,’ written by British Airways Great Britons winner Prasanna Puwanarajah is a moving short film starring actor Timothy Spall and was inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Warning: I was a weepy mess by minute 5 and a small fountain at minute 8.

This is definitely one of the most beautiful and well done visual stories that I’ve seen in years. One of the more interesting and affecting choices is that there is zero dialogue and in less than 10 minutes an incredible story with lovable characters, tragedy and triumph are all built up to real effect.

It’s so incredible, that it’s hard not to want to know more about it. And it’s pretty fantastic how it all came together. (Answering some mega-nerd questions like “did they really modify the velodrome track?”) Thankfully there’s a short behind the scenes follow up video.
