The biggest barrier to education & job opportunities in the US is transportation access (says US Transportation Secretary Foxx). In Los Angeles the homeless population is so massive a problem, that on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a plan to fund $100 million in one-time funding. That’s good progress, but it’s also… kinda abstract and not enough. You can read all about it.

LA bike shop Rotelli Cyclery is doing something about it. Right Now. Like TOMS you can buy 1 – give 1. Or just donate. They’ve partnered with the Skid Row Housing Trust to do make real, practical change NOW. Selfishly hook yourself up with a rad bike from the coolest bike shop in DTLA and help make a huge difference in someone else’s life. Because bikes are awesome.

They’ve got a video, pics of the bikes and great stuff on the indieGoGo page. Check it out!

Like ’em on facebook! Don’t worry they’re too busy being awesome to blow up your feed 🙂
